Violinist Itzhak Perlman to headline benefit concert
Cleveland-Monday, December 7, will be a very special day for the AIDS Housing Council. That evening at 8 p.m. at Cleveland's renowned Severance Hall, AHC proudly presents Itzhak Perlman, who will perform for the organization's second annual concert benefit.
All proceeds from the Second Annual AIDS/Homeless Benefit Concert will go directly to the services of the AIDS Housing Council. AHC's mission is to strengthen the community's ability to care for families dealing with HIV/AIDS related illnesses by providing housing, needed support and referral services to those who are homeless or about to become homeless. AHC provides permanent housing through Kamana House, and temporary housing through Hebron House.

All of Severance Hall's 2,101 seats have sold out, but standing-room-only tickets are still available for this important event.
Undeniably the reigning virtuoso of the violin, Itzhak Perlman enjoys superstar status rarely afforded a classical musician. Beloved for his charm and humanity as well as his talent, he has come to be recognized by audiences all over the world who respond not only to his flawless technique, but to the irrepressible joy of making music which he communicates.
Born in Israel in 1945, Perlman completed his initial training at the Academy of Music in Tel Aviv.
He came to New York and soon was propelled into the international arena with

Perlman's recordings regularly appear on the best-seller charts and have won fifteen Grammy awards. One of Perlman's proudest achievements was his collaboration with film score composer John Williams in Steven Spielberg's Academy Award winning film Schindler's List in which he performed the violin solos.
His presence on the stage at Severance Hall on December 7 will most certainly speak eloquently on behalf of the handicapped and disabled, and his devotion to their cause is an integral part of his life. "I am extremely excited to come back to

Concert chairperson Jeff Mannies, who is the director of development at the AIDS Housing Council, said the organization is anxious to host Perlman and excited about the exposure that Perlman's celebrity will bring AHC.
"Because of Mr. Perlman's fame, we are able to sell a great many tickets and thus raise a large amount of money to support the services we provide," Mannies said. "Also, because we are a small non-profit agency, we're reaching
